Cam Deery, President

Cam-Deery-PresidentAs President of Castaway Technologies, Cam leads the development and execution of the company’s vision, mission, and strategic direction. With over 20 years of executive leadership experience in management, sales, and marketing, he brings deep industry knowledge and a forward-thinking approach to the IT asset disposition (ITAD) space.

Cam is a recognized expert in information technology hardware, services, and secure data handling. He is the architect of the company’s CastTRAC chain-of-custody program, a cornerstone of Castaway’s commitment to security and compliance for offline data-bearing assets.

Before founding Castaway, Cam held executive and sales leadership roles at Axis Communications (NASDAQ Stockholm: AXIS), BaseSix, C4N Inc., and Xyplex (now MRV Communications; NASDAQ: MRVC). His approach blends strategic business fundamentals with a passion for innovation and client-focused solutions.

Cam earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Vermont.

Brian Sifferlen, Chief Financial Officer

Brian-Sifferlen-CFOWith more than 25 years of extensive experience in accounting, finance, and industry operations, Brian brings invaluable expertise to Castaway. He oversees the company’s finances, daily operations, and general business functions. In addition, he contributes to advancing the organization’s mission and supports staff succession and growth initiatives.

Prior to joining the Castaway team, Brian held Vice President positions at The Bank of New York Mellon (NYSE: BK) and Mellon Financial Corporation in the Information Technology (IT) Finance Group. Brian is a graduate of Merrimack College with a Bachelor’s in Finance.

Jay Marchand, Director of Sales and Account Management

As Director of Sales and Account Management, Jay Marchand serves as a key connection between Castaway Technologies and its clients. He oversees client relationships, drives business development, and leads a consultative onboarding process. Jay also helps shape the Castaway brand through his market insight and commitment to delivering best-in-class IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) services.

Since joining Castaway in 2016, Jay has expanded the customer base, strengthened engagement, and improved sales performance across retail and e-commerce. His leadership in building retention strategies, streamlining tools, and mentoring his team has helped elevate Castaway’s presence and results.

Previously, Jay held a sales role at The New England Team, a consulting firm where he exceeded goals and completed advanced sales training. A former NCAA Division I soccer player, he earned his Bachelor’s in Economics with a focus on Business Administration and Management from the University of Massachusetts.

Jay brings years of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of client needs, developed through his long tenure at Castaway. He approaches every engagement with energy, leadership, and a collaborative spirit that drives lasting results.

David Paquette, Vice President of Business Development

David Paquette drives the expansion of Castaway’s partner programs and direct client relationships. He brings more than 20 years of experience in sales and business development, having built and led both direct and channel sales programs for public and private companies.

His career spans leadership roles at Carat (Dentsu-Aegis), Adobe (Omniture), Visible Measures, BlueConic, and Nanigans. Across each, he has collaborated with clients and partners in industries including financial services, retail, transportation, eCommerce, consulting, and technology.

David’s approach is rooted in collaboration and strategic thinking. He is known for cultivating mutually beneficial relationships and delivering solutions that align with client and partner goals. At Castaway, he applies these strengths to enhance business growth, strengthen alliances, and expand market presence.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
