Seasoned Banking and Technology Industry Executive Brings Finance and Operations Experience to Help Advance Castaway Technologies in Information Technology Asset Disposition (ITAD) Industry
Methuen, MA — 01/05/15 — Castaway Technologies LLC today announced that it has appointed Brian Sifferlen as chief financial officer, effective January 5. Mr. Sifferlen will report to Castaway Technologies president Cameron Deery.
“Brian’s extensive experience in finance and operations management in the banking and technology industries makes him the ideal executive to drive Castaway Technologies’ performance forward,” said Deery. “His understanding of operational efficiencies will be instrumental to Castaway Technologies’ continued growth.”
Mr. Sifferlen joins Castaway Technologies from BNY Mellon where he served as Business Line Controller and Vice President of Infrastructure and Engineering. There he managed the company’s financial operations, corporate accounting, treasury, inventory management and capital project management. Previously, Mr. Sifferlen was at Mellon Financial Corporation where he served as Senior Financial Analyst and Assistant Vice President.

In addition to BNY Mellon, Mr. Sifferlen earlier served as an Officer at Home Owners Savings Bank where he was responsible for finances, planning and oversight of 36 branch locations.
Mr. Sifferlen earned his BS in Finance at Merrimack College in North Andover, MA.
